  • Are they going to renew Agents of SHIELD or not?

They haven't announced that it was cancelled, and they haven't announced that it has been renewed. I know the season isn't quite over yet, but usually we know something by now.

Cancel Bear says it will likely be renewed, but the ratings aren't the best. You think it will survive?

I hope so. It is a fun show that doesn't get enough credit. And since Coulson is supposed to be in Captain Marvel....

I'm surprised nothing has been announced yet. I'm especially curious as to what they could do with the show in the wake of Infinity War...

Marvel's been really shy about mixing the TV show with the movies... which I think is a shame. I thought the tie-ins they did - while very distant - turned out pretty well. And the destruction of SHIELD made for great TV once it happened in the films.

I still love this show, and think there is a lot of ground they can still cover. It's evolved quite a bit since Season 1, and even if that first season kind of got panned, I still liked it. The later seasons wouldn't have been nearly as good without that groundwork.

I honestly thought that season one really took off when they linked it to Winter Soldier. I've kind of cooled on the show altogether, but if they have something interesting planned for the post-Infinity War era, that may be enough to bring me back.

This season has been strong - if a little farfetched. Time travel always gets a little hinky, but this season has done wonders for both Fitz and Simmons. They handled LMDs perfectly, made some great potential recurring villains... it feels more like a comic now than ever.

Well, summer is coming soon. Maybe I'll try catching up over my break.

Meanwhile, I still haven't watched Punisher, Jessica Jones Season 2, or finished Runaways. Behind is a way of life these day!

I concur on an Infinity War tie being something that'd get me checking out AoS. I lost track of it toward the end of the first season and never got back to it. 'Course, on the Netflix shows, I think I'm still only 3/4 through the first season of Daredevil...though I did watch all of Iron Fist and enjoyed that one a fair bit.

It's an embarrassment of riches these days with 'geek tv' and such...there's more than I can keep up with--and this is as a single guy, with no kids!

Never would've dreamed as a kid that there'd be so many such shows available that I could pick and choose, or that I'd be multiple seasons behind on multiple shows.

It helps that my wife is a geeky girl and into a lot of the same shows as me.

I can't keep up either, and my wife is good with watching almost all of it. I haven't even touched the DC TV shows.

I think you missed out on AoS Walt. A lot of people weren't fond of the first season, and I admit it had its issues. But they made it a launching point for some pretty solid TV in the later seasons.

Well, at least one Agents of SHIELD star thinks the show will address Infinity War...
'Agents of SHIELD' star Adrian Pasdar says more 'Infinity War' references are coming, but will they include the film's shocking climax?

I think it would be a great thing for them to do. Hell, that's one potential way of bringing back "dead" people like Ward, or changing aspects of the show that happened in the past without having to come up with a far-fetched reason why it works.

I became bored with the show about two seasons ago, although my OCD hates that I have a bunch of unwatched shows on my DVR.

I keep thinking that one day there will be nothing to watch... yea, might be time to delete it off the dvr.
